TOBYThis was the first short film I acted in. It is also one of the more popular and critically acclaimed films I have been a part of. Accepted into the National Film Festival for Talented Youth in 2016Arkansas PBS Student Select FilmFun facts:The first scene of me running through the grass was in the middle of winter. It was freezing cold! Running through the grass barefoot felt like I was running on knifes. It took a good hour for me to learn how to strike a match, making the extreme close up shot of my hand very difficult to get. Luckily this was the last shot of the day so it didn’t mess up our shooting schedule too bad.
Little Rock 48 Hour Film Festival - Somone ElseThis was such a fun experience! 48 hours to create a short film starting out from scratch. We were given a genre, prop to use, particular character and other guidelines. After the film premiered, our team went up onstage and spoke about the process.FUN FACTS:The final scene that I appear in, I fall down. Little do you know that I fell into THORNS! It hurt terribly and since I had a mic on, you can hear me screaming in the full take of that shot. We stayed at the cabin shown in the film thought the production process - completely emerged in nature and little cell service. It was great for team bonding!
TESSFUN FACTS:“Tess” was named Best Film at the 2018 NATAS Emmys.
Room 1291 - SkillsUSA Nationals Digital Cinema 1st Place 2017This film was created for SkillsUSA in the Digital Cinema competition. We had 36 hours to write, produce, film and edit. The process taught us to think on our feet and really nailed in my brain the idea of “go, go, go; no time to waste.”FUN FACTS:We placed FIRST in this national competition. We were up all hours filming this. Around 4am when I went back to my hotel room to sleep, I definitely felt a strange feeling of being haunted. Acting and sleep deprivation can do that to ya.
ArkadiaYou might not recognize me in this one! I acted in this film when I was home for a break during my freshman year of college. I’m honored to have been asked to participate!FUN FACTS:A makeup artist was on set helping me get ready. Gauze was put over my eyes to give the eerie appearance. I couldn’t see a thing!! So when it was time to film, I kept asking where the camera was. I definitely had to get over the fact that I couldn’t see and focus my attention on the character I was portraying. The bloody hand you see is also mine - I guess I can add “hand model” to my resume. A good 30 minutes of make-up was required to get this look.
TEDDYFUN FACTS:All the interview type shots were straight memorization.
